Furniture in the aLaska Passage invites you to linger
08. April 2025
Eat, enjoy, work – everyone can do all this in the aLaska Passage. There is also (newly adapted) furniture. The benches were given backrests and some seating groups were equipped with tables.
See you there!
Bring your food, your work and your colleagues and take a seat outside: the 20 or so yellow (adapted) pieces of furniture in the aLaska Passage (= consumption-free zone) can now be used in spring-like temperatures.
Architect Philipp Weinberger has already designed the FALK building, now the outdoor area: “The furniture with the corrugated grid speaks the Tabakfabrik ‘s design language and adapts to the listed tracks in the sense of a “wild garden”. They are made of indestructible steel, weatherproof and robust.”
Tabakfabrik Managing Director Denise Halak on the green ribbon between Haus HAVANNA and Haus FALK: “We invite everyone to use Peter-Behrens-Platz and the aLaska Passage to linger, eat and chat. We believe that ideas grow in the community and offer spaces for networking in every form.”
The combination of shady/sunny spots, trees and furniture should make the area attractive for everyone. True to the motto: “Bring your own food and enjoy”!
